May Day in L.A.

Yep, tomorrow is May 1st, or "Mayday" in some parts of the world.  In Russia, for example, the streets will be filled with citizens attending (mandatory) Mayday parades, where all the missiles are on display.  Ooooooh.  Bring the kids.....or else.
In my part of the world, Southern California, it means many things:  First, don't even think about finding a taco anywhere.  It's a day of rest for taco workers. Second, don't even think about going to Los Angeles....the day of rest is really an excuse for criminal aliens to riot in our streets without fear of consequences, demanding that we change our immigration policies so they can live their illegal lives legally.
The traditions we have in this country are so charming....!
Last year, when some thugs, sorry....guests started throwing bottles and other items at the Los Angeles Police Department, the officers decided that the party needed to be closed down and were not subtle in communicating this message to the party goers.
The illegal community and their supporters complained about these less-than-gentle tactics, and the Police Chief threw his entire department under the bus.....with a Boston accent.
So this year, revelers (rioters) can look forward to a kinder, gentler L.A.P.D. when they hit the streets for their criminal trespass at government expense.  The media (some of whom got roughed up last year), will be along to report every sneeze by the cops as an affront to human dignity....or a war-crime.  A good time will be had by all.  Bring the kids.....
For the record, I LOVED the way the L.A.P.D. handled that riot last year, and it think that is exactly what was called for in that situation. They should always deal with these situations this way.  The politicians in L.A. including the Police Chief are a bunch of worthless fops, and the Mayor of L.A., Mayor Villareconquista (as Roger calls him) should be burned at the stake (in a nice way...).  I could not be angrier when I see people of this ilk telling us what we need to do for them, who have no right to even be here let alone demand anything.  So I'm letting it out now...in advance...so I don't hurt anything in my house tomorrow.
Welcome to America.  Let's burn it.....

God Bless.....

....it's only a quarter

Several years ago, a preacher from out-of-state accepted a call to a

church in Houston, Texas . Some weeks after he arrived, he had an

 occasion to ride the bus from his home to the downtown area. When he

sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him a quarter too much change.

 As he considered what to do, he thought to himself, 'You' d better

 give the quarter back. It would be wrong to keep it.' Then he

 thought, 'Oh, forget it, it's only a quarter. Who would worry about this little amount?

 Anyway, the bus company gets too much fare; they will never miss it.

 Accept it as 'a gift from God' and keep quiet.'

 When his stop came, he paused momentarily at the door, then he handed

 the quarter to the driver and said, 'Here, you gave me too much change.'

 The driver, with a smile, replied, 'Aren't you the new preacher in

town? I have been thinking a lot lately about going somewhere to

 worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too

 much change. I'll see you at church on Sunday.'

When the preacher stepped off of the bus, he literally grabbed the

 nearest light pole, held on, and said, 'Oh God, I almost sold your Son for a quarter.'

Our lives are the only Bible some people will ever read. This is a

 really scary example of how much people watch us as Christians and will put us to the test!

Always be on guard and remember that you carry the name of Christ on

 your shoulders when you call yourself 'Christian'.

Watch your thoughts; they become words.

 Watch your words; they become actions.

 Watch your actions; they become habits.

Watch your habits, they become character.

 Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

 The Will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not

PROTECT you...

 Stay FAITHFUL and be GRATEFUL.

God bless....

I am a Bad American

 YES, I'M A BAD AMERICAN

I Am the Liberal-Progressives Worst Nightmare. I am an American.

I believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, not some Liberal governmental functionary be it Democratic or Republican!

I'm in touch with my feelings and I like it that way!

I think owning a gun doesn't make you a killer, it makes you a smart American.

I think being a minority does not make you noble or victimized, and does not entitle you to anything.

I believe that if you are selling me a Big Mac, do it in English.

I believe everyone has a right to pray to his or her God when and where they want to.

My heroes are John Wayne, Babe Ruth, Roy Rogers, and whoever canceled Jerry Springer.

I know wrestling is fake and I don't waste my time watching or arguing about it.

I've never owned a slave, or was a slave, I haven't burned any witches or been persecuted by the Turks and neither have you! So, shut up already.

I believe if you don't like the way things are here, go back to where you came from and change your own country! This is AMERICA.

If you were born here and don't like it you are free to move to any Socialist country that will have you.

I want to know which church is it exactly where the Reverend Jesse Jackson preaches, where he gets his money, and why he is always part of the problem and not the solution. Can I get an AMEN on that one?

 I think the cops have every right to shoot your sorry rear if you're running from them..

I also think they have the right to pull you over if you're breaking the law, regardless of what color you are.

And, no, I don't mind having my face shown on my drivers license. I think it's good..... And I'm proud that 'God' is written on my money.

I think if you are too stupid to know how a ballot works, I don't want you deciding who should be running the most powerful nation in the world for the next four years.

 I dislike those people standing in the intersections trying to sell me stuff or trying to guilt me into making 'donations' to their cause.

I believe that it doesn't take a village to raise a child, it takes two parents.

I believe 'illegal' is illegal no matter what the lawyers think.

I believe the American flag should be the only one allowed in AMERICA!

If this makes me a BAD American, then yes, I'm a BAD American.

THE OLD PATHS

 I liked the old paths, when
 Moms were at home.

 Dads were at work.
 Brothers went into the army.
 And sisters got married BEFORE having children!

 Crime did not pay;
 Hard work did;
 And people knew the difference.

 Moms could cook;
 Dads would work;
 Children would behave.

 Husbands were loving;
 Wives were supportive;
 And children were polite.

 Women wore the jewelry;
 And Men wore the pants.
 Women looked like ladies;
 Men looked like gentlemen;
 And children looked decent.

 People loved the truth,
 And hated a lie;
 They came to church to get IN,
 Not to get OUT!

 Hymns sounded Godly;
 Sermons sounded helpful;
 Rejoicing sounded normal;
 And crying sounded sincere.

 Cursing was wicked;
 Drugs were for illness;
 And divorce was unthinkable.

 The flag was honored;
 America was beautiful;
 And God was welcome!

 We read the Bible in public;
 Prayed in school;
 And preached from house to house
 To be called an American was worth dying for; To be called a Christian
 was worth living for; To be called a traitor was a shame!

 Preachers preached because they had a message; And Christians rejoiced
because they had the VICTORY!

 Preachers preached from the Bible;
 Singers sang from the heart;
 And sinners turned to the Lord to be SAVED!

 A new birth meant a new life;
 Salvation meant a changed life;
 Following Christ led to eternal life.

 Being a preacher meant you proclaimed the word of God; Being an
 officer meant you would serve the Lord; Being a Christian meant you
 would live for Jesus; And being a sinner meant someone was praying for  you!

 Laws were based on the Bible;
 Homes read the Bible;
 And churches taught the Bible.

 God was worshiped;
 Christ was exalted;
 And the Holy Spirit was respected..

 Church was where you found Christians On the Lord's day, rather than
 in the garden, On the creek bank, on the golf course, Or at work.

 Sunday was the day to worship the Lord. You could not find a store
 open anywhere to purchase anything, because Sunday was a day of rest.

 I still like the old paths the best!

"The Old Paths" was written by a retired minister who lives In Tennessee

Why so bitter....?

art.candidates.afp.gi.jpg
Obama's got it all wrong (again).  Fact is, I have been "clinging" to my guns, religion, anti-illegal immigrant views and protectionist trade policies long before this clown came along.  He is right about one thing though....I am bitter.
I am bitter because this nation is about to choose the leader of the free world.  Are these three really the best we can do....?!
Bitter ain't the half of it, brother.....

God Bless Charlton Heston

     "From my cold, dead hands!"

When Charlton Heston uttered these words at the annual meeting of the National Rifle Association, he probably hadn't realized he had defined his own legacy for millions of people.  He is probably better remembered as the actor who starred in such sweeping epics as "The Ten Commandments" and "Ben-Hur," but his tenure as president of the NRA was as memorable as any of his make-believe roles.
Heston did much to restore the pride of the beleaguered gun owners of our nation, standing in the face of political correctness and anti-gun sentiment throughout the country, refusing to apologize for his strongly held beliefs, and never backing down from political opposition.
Who can forget the series of public service announcements aimed at then president Bill Clinton, delivering stinging rebukes at his anti-gun views and helping the hapless chief executive to remember what constitutes a lie.  Classic.
To a gun owner, he was a hero.  Few may remember, however, that Heston also marched alongside Martin Luther King during the Civil Rights Marches in the sixties, risking his career and his life to stand up for what he believed.  As he showed in his later years, it would not be the last time he would risk it all for his principles.
The world is saying goodbye to Charlton Heston today , but it was a life well lived, and we have enough memories of this good man to bring a smile to our faces whenever we think of him.
Appropriately, I bought a gun yesterday, the day he died....a Henry Golden Boy rifle.  It will be difficult not to think of Heston whenever I pick up this gun.  It is somewhat similiar to the musket he held over his head in North Carolina that day.  May his spirit be with me then, as an NRA Life Member, to take up the mantle....to fight for the rights guaranteed in the Constitution as provided by our Creator.
You can take my gun when you can pry it from my cold, dead hands.

God bless you Chuck, and God bless all of you....
